The mold is divided into steel mold and knife mold according to the material. Steel die is made of steel, high precision, many stamping times, not easy to deformation, is the most commonly used die, because of its heavy weight, installation often need to move, and the cost is high, therefore, steel die is generally not made too large, suitable for FPC punching veneer size within 600mm; Knife die light weight, low cost, made of wood and steel blade, precision is not high, generally only applicable to the shape of the precision requirements of the products and accessories, such as reinforcement, etc. (no further discussion of knife die, the mentioned mould refers to the metal steel die).
According to the precision points, there are precision die, ordinary die, simple die points, which involves three production methods of the die, slow wire, in the wire, fast wire; The mold made of slow wire is a precision mold, and its precision tolerance is ±0.05mm. The steel is of good quality and is not easy to deform, but the price is high and the production time is long. Unless the customer has special requirements for the shape accuracy of ±0.05mm, the mold is generally not selected. The mold made by the wire, for ordinary mold, its precision tolerance is ±0.10mm, the accuracy can meet most needs, moderate price, stable performance, for the usual choice of mold type; Through the mold made of fast wire, that is, a simple die, the precision is ±0.2mm, the price is slightly cheaper than the ordinary die, generally on the shape of the product tolerance requirements are low to choose this mode of opening;
The steel die is composed of upper die and lower die. The lower die is the base and the upper die is the punching die. After the mold is installed to the punch press, it is necessary to use the test board to adjust the stamping height of the mold to select the most suitable stamping strength, to ensure that FPC can be divided according to the shape design drawing, while not damaging the FPC other parts without punching. According to the FPC size, the mold is often a multiple way, that is, stamping once, forming multiple FPC pieces, thus improving the production efficiency. In the production process, under the premise of not changing the FPC shape design, the mold only needs to be made once, and can be reused later, which is suitable for mass production and reduces the unit production cost.
Secondly, it is cutting molding, generally only used for samples and very small batch production. Cutting molding CNC knife cutting molding and laser molding. CNC knife cutting, the cutting map input computer, according to the positioning hole on the equipment fixed FPC Mosaic, cutting head on the equipment according to the drawing line move, so as to cut the FPC into the specified shape. This kind of cutting method, because the blade itself is relatively large, and the tool head is easy to damage, the processing molding FPC precision is poor, the processing time is longer, the adjustment depth is improper, will lead to burr, cutting impenetrable situation, before the laser cutting machine, generally only used for FPC samples and protective film, electromagnetic film cutting molding. With the popularity of laser cutting machine, because of its high accuracy (≤0.05mm), cutting surface round and square, less burr, faster than the knife cut, therefore, has replaced the way of CNC knife cut. At present, most FPC samples are produced in this way. It should be noted that, because laser cutting is the use of high energy red/ultraviolet beam processing, so there may be burning traces on the cutting surface, after production in order not to affect the appearance, it is best to take a clean cloth with alcohol wipe.
